Scottish Tracklocross Adventures

I went off on a bit of an adventure around the Three Lochs Way on the Squid/BLB SO-EZ at the weekend. Being an idiot, I managed to forget my camera and Go-Pro and also to charge my phone. Documentation was, therefore, a bit of an issue. I guess it is true what they say about preparation.
There were a few bits where I wondered why I decided to pick the bike that was sans front brake, but life would be boring if we always took the safer option. Rather than give you a blow by blow account, as to be honest, I’ve forgotten most of what happened, but my quads, though, have not; I thought I’d share some pictures.

It turns out it doesn’t rain all the time in Scotland, and after our recent heatwave and then storms, most of the tracks had a lot of pretty loose debris. The good news about this was that skidding was even more fun, apologies for any trail erosion. The SO-EZ is excellent for wee trips like this, and you should get one.
Even if you don’t have a SO-EZ, you should come on a tracklocross adventure through Scotland.
Gosh, that looks like a great ride. These are exactly the types of places I’d love to visit. Thank you for bringing Scotland to me during this pandemic!
Cheers.
I’m planning a few more, including doing the Badger Divide (Inverness to Glasgow) at the end of Sept, so hopefully, I’ll be able to bring more of Scotland.
