New Inspiring Mindfulness Cycling Classes in Glasgow

I’ve spent the last few years of my life teaching mindfulness and other skills to people through my old job; now, I’m offering cycling mindfulness classes in Glasgow. These sessions take place in Pollok Park or Glasgow Green. These areas I have picked as they are great areas to practice without worrying about cars.

Mindfulness and cycling

Cycling can be a great way to practice mindfulness, which is the practice of being fully present and engaged in the current moment. Here are a few ways cycling and mindfulness are linked:

  1. Focusing on the present moment: When you’re cycling, it’s important to focus on the present moment and pay attention to your surroundings. You need to be aware of traffic, road conditions, and other potential hazards. By focusing on the present moment, you can become more mindful and less distracted by worries or concerns about the past or future.
  2. Connecting with nature: Cycling can take you out into nature and allow you to connect with the world around you. This can be a great way to practice mindfulness and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.
  3. Mind-body connection: Cycling requires coordination between your mind and body, as you need to balance, steer, and pedal to keep moving forward. This can help you become more aware of your body and the physical sensations you experience while cycling.
  4. Meditation on the go: Cycling can be a form of moving meditation, as you focus on your breath, body movements, and the rhythm of the pedals. This can be a great way to clear your mind and reduce stress while also getting some exercise.
