Simple Mindful Cycling Classes for Relaxation in Glasgow

I thought it would be nice to say that I am moving from just running mindfulness classes in North Lanarkshire and for BMXers at The Loading Bay to offering one-to-one cycling-based mindfulness classes in Glasgow. I will be basing these classes in Glasgow Green and Pollok Park; we can also meet elsewhere if it is easier for you.
Why a mindful cycling class?
Cycling and mindfulness can work together to promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and engaged in the current moment without judgment or distraction. Cycling can be a great way to practice mindfulness because it requires focus and attention on the present moment, such as paying attention to breathing, body sensations, and the surrounding environment.
Here are some ways in which cycling and mindfulness can work together:
- Focus on breath: Focusing on your breathing while cycling can help you stay present and mindful. This can help you to relax and feel more centred, especially during challenging rides.
- Pay attention to your body: Cycling can help you connect with your body and become more aware of your physical sensations. By paying attention to your body, you can identify areas of tension or discomfort and adjust your posture or technique accordingly.
- Enjoy the scenery: Cycling in nature can be a great way to practice mindfulness, as it allows you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of your surroundings. Take in the sights, sounds, and smells around you, and try to appreciate the experience without judgment.
- Use cycling as a meditation: You can use cycling as a form of moving meditation, focusing your attention on your breath, body, and surroundings. This can help to calm the mind, reduce stress, and increase self-awareness.
